About Ulidia Taekwondo

For over 35 years, Ulidia Taekwondo has been dedicated to delivering high-quality martial arts training and helping young people and adults grow in confidence, discipline, and personal strength. Founded with a mission to inspire excellence and support the development of our community, the club has grown into one of the region’s most respected Taekwondo schools — known both for its welcoming environment and its long history of producing elite-level athletes.

Ulidia Taekwondo is unique.
Across more than three decades, our club has developed international competitors, national champions, and world-level representatives, with athletes competing on some of the biggest stages in the sport, including:

  • US Open

  • Dutch, Belgian, Bulgarian, Croatian, German, Danish & Swiss Opens

  • European Championships (Estonia)

  • World Championships (Hong Kong)

We are proud to have produced multiple Irish, British, and Northern Irish champions, as well as athletes who have represented Ireland, GBR, and NIR with distinction.
Head Coach Bertie Nicholson has even helped train two current full-time GB Taekwondo athletes and served as Northern Ireland Kyrougi Head Coach for over 20 years, guiding students to international success.
